Sunday in New York
As you know, I have just returned from a working trip to NYC and Los Angeles. In fact, I did Trunk Shows in both cities in order to offer to the american girls some beautiful cashmere from my boutique Crimson in Paris. Allow me to explain what a trunk show envolves. This is when a designer shows his or her creations either in a showroom, boutique or in my case, a beautiful hotel. My choice of hotels were easy as my favorite in New York has always been the Carlyle Hotel and for the visit of those gorgeous women from L.A., I chose a beautiful bungalow at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
For those who have already walked the streets of New York City, you understand the energy generated by a visit to this great city. I never tire of going from one end of Manhattan to the other. Each neighborhood has a different dynamic. My daughters prefer Soho and the Meat Packing District, and I am fond of the Upper East Side. Could be a question of age……..Having said that I do adore Soho, where my favorite delicatessen makes the best mocha coffee with soy milk in the world……Dean and Delucca’s. A must on my list of places to go for a quick pick me up and perfect people watching.
